Girlies Pop Reads
Girlies Pop Reads is a queer literary and cultural collective creating spaces for people to read, write, gather, and connect.
We believe books are more than objects on a shelf. They can be meeting points, archives, portals into other lives, and sometimes the first place where we realize that someone else has experienced the world in a way that feels familiar to us.
Girlies Pop Reads was created to bring queer writing and reading into shared public spaces, connecting writers, readers, publishers, artists, and communities through literature and cultural gatherings.
Thai Queer Bookfair is one of those gatherings.0 We are building a bookfair that celebrates queer literature, independent publishing, and the people who make up the wider reading ecosystem around them.
Our aim is simple: to read together, connect communities, and make more room for queer stories to exist.
Purpose of Thai queer bookfair 2026
Thai Queer Bookfair exists to create a place where queer literature can be discovered not only as a category of books, but as part of a living culture.
We want queer readers to find books, writers, publishers, artists, and each other.
We also want people of all genders who respect queer communities to have a place to come together, discover queer literature, and celebrate the stories being created around us.
Because community happens when writers, readers, publishers, artists, independent creators, cultural workers, organizations, and institutions have a chance to meet.
This is why the bookfair brings different parts of the literary ecosystem into one space.
